Cleaning of Rentals:
The rentals are clean upon your arrival; it is your responsibility to leave the rental unit clean upon your departure. Cleaning supplies and instructions will be provided. You will be responsible for the yard, beach and parking areas. For your convenience, there is a cleaning checklist posted within all units.
Boats or Watercraft:
Your rental price includes the use of non-motorized watercraft (each unit has a paddleboat, canoe, rowboat and kayak). You may bring your own motorized boat and use the public boat launch. Make sure your boat is registered and you have proper safety equipment. Boat rentals are available from local marinas. Standard personal flotation devices are required for the watercraft. You should bring ski jackets, if desired.
Parking:
One of the favored amenities is the ample parking for yourself and guests. Please keep your vehicles within our parking area. Do not park, even momentarily, on the surrounding streets or the neighbors grassy areas.
On the Beach:
There are fire pits for each unit. Please restrict your fires to only the fire pits provided. Be mindful of the direction your smoke is traveling and whether it is disturbing the neighbors’ outside activities. Please do not take glass to the beach area, use plastic or cans instead.
No Pets:
We ask that you do not bring pets on the premises (structures or land). Please let your visitors know this as well. Because it is lake property, there is an abundance of sand fleas which dogs could attract and carry into the manor with them. As a result, everyone is bitten and miserable, including the dog.
No Inside Smoking:
Please do not smoke inside any of the rental buildings and use the outside containers for refuse.
Trash Removal:
You are responsible for removing your own trash or refuse off the property. Local businesses have dumpsters for this purpose. We recommend daily removal, especially in hot weather. Trash in bags left outside and uncovered could attract wild animals. Wastebaskets are for your use, please use the bags provided.
Fireplace Use:
The Cabin has a gas fireplace for your convenience. Please follow the posted instructions on its use. Children are not permitted to operate the fireplace. Fire extinguishers are located near the fireplace and in the kitchen.
Check-Out:
We will meet you back at the manor at 11:00 a.m.; final walk-through will take about 30 minutes. Please report any malfunctions (such as burned out light-bulbs, squeaky doors, etc) to us, at this time. We will work to fix these items prior to the next patrons’ arrival. Upon satisfactory cleanliness and condition, your security deposit will be returned to you within 14 days of your departure.
